Ears, DVD player, Fire and Japanese Mimes
Jan. 23rd, 2006 03:04 pmI went to the doctor's this morning and she had a look at my ears. She said I had a minor ear infection; she prescribed some antibiotics to take for the next five days (3 pills per day). Then she smirked when I told her (in jest) how I thought at first that the beats in my head were the sound of my heart.
I can hear the beats right now, coming from my right ear. I forgot to ask the doctor if I can still go swimming while I take these pills. Or maybe I should get some ear plugs?
We bought a communal DVD player for £39.95. The first DVD in it was Blue Velvet (just for a quick test run), followed by Pulp's video collection. Now I can watch Jarvis, Brett and Frank Black whenever I feel like it.
Photos from the massive fire near my home yesterday.
Two crazy Japanese mimes that we saw yesterday at the Royal Festival Hall. Bonus points for the mimes making use of the children in the audience. One particular boy, who looked like a clone of that kid from Jerry Maguire (not that I ever saw that movie!), provided endless source of amusement as he got taunted and teased by the mimes.
