After playing one of Hollywood's most closeted stars, James Dean, and Harvey Milk's lover Scott Smith in the biopic Milk (and nearly stealing the show from under Sean Penn's feet, IMO), James Franco has turned his attention to queer icon poet Allen Ginsberg in the biopic Howl. The film focuses on the publication of his most famous poem and the obscenity trial that followed:
I've been listening to a lecture Ginsberg gave on poetry in 1974 and Franco nails his voice to a Tee.
I feel bad for confessing this but I had to check online whether Franco was dating/married to any chick. He sounds like the best straight guy friend a gay bloke could have. He also paints in his spare time. Here's an example of his work.
