I'll weigh in here - I strongly dislike the slicked-down bangs, spiked-up-in-the-back look. It's just one "humble" opinion, though.

I'm a special case - I have to have bangs (I call it a fringe) because I have a spastic forehead and without it I'd look like Max Headroom, and my hair spikes up by itself no matter what I do!
