All Good Things Come to an End

My thoughts on Season 5, and beyond:

- Juliet is NOT dead. When she blew up the bomb, she caused all of them to return to the present, unharmed --> wishful thinking. I'm fairly sure Sayid won't die either in the new series - if they had wanted him dead, it would have happened at the end of this season --> more wishful thinking.
- John Locke IS dead! That was an awesome twist... I bet his incubus has got lots of evil things planned for all the people of the island in the next series. First thing he'll do is make everyone turn against Ben and hunt him down like an animal. And he'll get the Others in the temple to be his army against the Others with Ricardus. And there will be lots of shootings, stabbings, hiding, explosions, near death experiences, moody eyes between Kate-Jack-Sawyer.
- Charles Widmore in a good guy shocker. He finally returns to the island with the help of Daniel's mom, Penelope and Desmond. Showdown between him and Ben.
- Claire is found amongst the Others living in the Temple. In the three years that have passed she has become a leader for that group of Others. She probably has a new partner, and maybe even another kid? She bitchslaps Kate for taking little Aaron off the island.
- Miles gets to talk to the real John Locke when he encounters his corpse. Probably learns some key information that saves all their lives.
- Some big mega showdown between the main characters and John "the Incubus" Locke. Ben gives up his life in order to destroy Locke and the island. Everyone else manages to get off the island on Desmond and Penelope's boat just before it sinks beneath the sea, gone forever.
- As Richard is leaving the island, his body begins to decompose and he turns to dust.
- Jack dies. Kate ends up with Sawyer. Juliet is reunited with her sister. Hurley wins the lottery again. Sayid goes back to the Caribbean to do charity work. Claire is reunited with little Aaron. The final shot is of Ben at the bottom of the ocean suddenly opening his eyes. The end!

Fantastic!!!
I don't need to bother fretting for next season now as I know what is gonna happen :D

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2009-05-18 10:13 am (UTC)(link)
I left plenty out so you'll still have some surprises. ;-)

[identity profile] millionreasons.livejournal.com 2009-05-18 10:11 am (UTC)(link)
So Ben tell everyone that Locke is not Locke and they won't believe him cos he's such a liar?
I think Juliet, being in close proximity to the bomb, is going to be flung forward into a different time than Jack, Kate et al.
Claire's dead, dude.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2009-05-18 10:15 am (UTC)(link)
The people at the beach saw Locke's corpse roll out of that container, so they don't need convincing. But Incubus Locke will say that Ben killed Jacob and everything bad is his fault and he must be hunted down and he must be killed... luckily for Ben, he'll bump into the folk from the past and they'll temporarily provide him with help.

Claire is NOT dead.

Juliet is dead-dead-deadski, there's no way they would have gone through all that dramatic hand-clutching routine only to have her turn out to be okay. Sayid I'm more optimistic about.

Poor Locke, he must be the most manipulated lead character of all time.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2009-05-18 12:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Nooooooo! She's aliveski! She must be, must be... *sniff*

Locke got handed out some really bad cards in life. At least he got to walk around for a while before getting murdered.

If it's any consolation, hitting a nuclear bomb with a brick is a pretty spectacular way to go.

So is there still a separate group of Others in the Temple? I thought the group with Richard was all there was left. I guess there are all the stolen children to be accounted for.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2009-05-18 12:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup. There was a recent episode where he said half of the Others were in the temple. They went there a couple of seasons ago when Widmore's ship arrived with the mercenaries.

Yeah, I remember Ben sending them there, it seems like a million years ago now.

Shame that Ben's not quite the mastermind he always seemed, I wonder if he's still got something up his sleeve?

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2009-05-18 01:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course he has!! He's played this meek victim role before, and got everyone fooled. I'm very glad they haven't killed him off yet.

[identity profile] zenithed.livejournal.com 2009-05-18 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I do hope so, evil schemer Ben is much more fun than his current grumpy teenager mode. Ben FTW!

He'll be devastated when he hears about Juliet's death, the poor thing.

[identity profile] zenithed.livejournal.com 2009-05-18 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Daughter gone, Juliet gone, most of his friends killed by Jack and co - it's been a crappy few years for Ben.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2009-05-18 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
He can have a pity party with Locke, with Miles doing the translating.

[identity profile] zenithed.livejournal.com 2009-05-18 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
And Ben's dad can provide the beers...

He has, and so has Locke with his new found walking abilities. But would they still have those gifts if the island was destroyed?

So they are all alive and the new season will be what happens after their plane lands on L.A.X.? I like!

[identity profile] blu-bear.livejournal.com 2009-05-18 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
But what about Jack's dad being on the island? What'll happen with that undeveloped plot line??

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2009-05-19 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
Jack's dad was probably the incubus too (perhaps he needs a corpse that arrived on the island in a coffin to take over it?)

[identity profile] blu-bear.livejournal.com 2009-05-19 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
Interesting...

[identity profile] kixie.livejournal.com 2009-05-19 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
No, Juliet is so not dead. I have proof, if you want to hear it ;)

Sayid...no idea. I hope he's not, but then again they've been doing so little with his character recently - well, except for the whole shooting Ben thing, but even then. Hrmph.

Richard leaves the island anyways and he never turns to dust. I bet he just ages normally now that Jacob is dead.

I want Sawyer to end up with Juliet, not Kate! No! With any luck Kate will end up dead. Sayid will...go build houses, Claire will get back to Aaron...Ben kills himself.

Can I come over and give you a hug and a kiss? (yay!!) See, I didn't think she was dead because the storyline with her sister hadn't been completed. Unless she's been hired for the final season for purely flashback reasons?

I get the feeling Jack will die in the end. He's by far the most annoying for me now.

[identity profile] kixie.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 02:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I think she's signed on as a fulltime cast member next year. I mean, if they all flash to the future, then all that stuff on top of her will disappear. Jack's a doctor and so's Juliet and they've already performed surgery on the island, delivered a baby...there's the Dharma medical stations...so it's a bit improbable but not entirely totally whacked out. Fingers crossed - I like Juliet. I like Juliet and Sawyer. I want Kate to die. And/or Jack - although Jack doesn't bug me as much as Kate, he's really, uh, gotten a bit mental.

When on earth did Jack turn into such a whiny little bitch? Seriously - what? Dude, just GET OVER IT. Your dad is dead. Yes, you have daddy issues, it's a shame. Kate is not worth it, and DO YOU HAVE ANY DIGNITY?

I think Ben's life is forfeit. He's got nothing left, he's just pathetic and sad and used and abused and generally...well, defeated.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
When Jacob says "they are coming", who do you think it means? Surely he's not referring to the "shadow of the statue" people? (since they are mates with Richard, who is mates with Jacob?)

Jack is whiny, stubborn, wrong most of the time, self-righteous and just - gah! I mind Kate less, but definitely rate the other female characters above her - especially Juliet.

I think I need to see the who five seasons ago in a massive marathon so I can prepare myself for the final one. :-)

[identity profile] kixie.livejournal.com 2009-05-20 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I liked Richard telling faux-Locke (Flocke!) to say 'hi' for him... I think 'they' are the 1970s Losties. I mean, he 'touched' all the people who ended up time travelling or...whatever. I mean, he set up the Shadow of the Statue people (Richard speaking in Latin makes me go weak at the knees...) and gave them the code words and stuff, so he probably knows they're there. They've been on the island for ages now, so he must've known.

Jack is indeed whiny, stubborn, wrong, duck voiced, self obsessed and selfish - this whole "and then the plane will land as it was supposed to!" condemns Kate to a life in prison - the woman he loves. In prison. For multiple counts of murder. Erm? Nice, Jack. Real nice. Way to take rejection in a...sane...way. Way to handle the Aaron thing like a normal human being - yes, meet your nephew and...RUN THE FUCK AWAY! WELL DONE, JACK, you IDIOT.
But Kate's just f'ing deluded and the producers NEED to stop this idiotic love quad thing that they have going. It's SO TIRED NOW.

I love how Juliet always seems to side step Kate, or just...throw her off. I think Juliet f'ing rules and her with Sawyer is just - well, a great partnership.
