Horseback Riding Lessons

Here's my nephew riding a horse for the first time (which he loved.) He's 14 months old. My mom just told me they have a video too, which they'll send me shortly.

That's his grandfather (from my sister-in-law's side), by the way, who is a pig farmer and owns the horse (before you start wondering who's that crazy man letting a little toddler horseback ride).

My nephew's name in the original Greek means "friend of horses". I wish I lived closer to my family.

He adores animals - is not afraid of them at all. Which is a problem because two of our dogs have bit him already! (the sausage ones - they don't like children.) Another one of our dogs is about to give birth and my mom has got this whole strategy in place to keep her away from him because once he sees all those puppies he's gonna want to grab them and... that wouldn't be very wise near their mom.

My mum has the same issue with my brother and the piglets! But I am sure your little nephew will learn in a year or two and know to give them space :)
