I've mentioned recently how The Killing is brilliant TV (currently on the BBC). This guy at the Independent agrees with me.

Honestly, just watch it. You'll know what I mean when you can't pull the hooks out.

Speaking of great Danes, I discovered this singer recently on Late Junction (thank you BBC again!) which I think some of you may like:

Agnes Obel Riverside music video from porkfish on Vimeo.

Her whole album from 2010 is available on Spotify and is worth a listen. The kind of sound you want late at night with hardly any lights on.

Late Junction is always interesting to listen to. There's lots of unusual programmes buried away on Radio 3, but they're so little publicised that you tend to forget all about them (and LJ is one I always forget about)

I love Late Junction. I wish it was offered as a podcast too so I can listen to it while I commute - it's definitely one of BBC radio's gems.

The Killing is my favourite thing on TV. (We are recording the double episodes every week and then trying to ration them so that we don't have to wait a whole week to find out what happens next!)

Good plan. We watch the two in a go then feel terrible withdrawal symptoms the rest of the week!

Heya, I went to the LSE yesterday and the LGBT network there are doing a free screening of XXY (an Argentine film about an intersex person) with free pop corn too. It's on Monday at 6pm.

Do you fancy going to that instead? I don't know much about the film but it's meant to be quite good and best part, it's all free.

I've seen it already! It's good but I don't particularly feel like seeing it again. :-)

The only days I have free next week are Monday and Friday. Would Friday work for you? x

Can't do Friday but happy to do Monday as I was only going to go to that if you were. Any preference as to which cinema to go to?

I was thinking maybe the Curzon in Soho? It's so nice in there and we can have drinks or coffee there. Also, it's the one cinema I can always count on there not being any rowdy or inconsiderate people. Furthermore, we'll be in a great location for a drink afterwards if you fancy it.

It's on at 14:05, 16:30, 18:40 and 21:00. Tickets are £8.50 for the first two and £12.50 for the later screenings.

Yup, sounds good! I'm at work that day so the earliest I can make is 18:40 - is that ok?

That's fine by me. Should we meet there at 18:25 so we can get a drink at the bar?

Alright! It's a plan. :-)

Fanx for that Captain! I've heard of Agnes Obel before but seem to have waylaid her somewhere in the mayhem. Thanks for reminding me how cool she is! I'll be sure to check out The Killing too.
