It's interesting to see what they've changed/left out. Some of it makes sense (for budget or brevity reasons) and some is baffling, but overall I'm very happy with how the books compare to the TV show!
I've just started the 3rd book, which apparently will comprise season 3 and 4 of the TV series...
I've been doing it so far... it's confusing in the sense that I now forget if something in book 1 happened in the book and/or in the TV show. But, overall, it's been fun doing them both at the same time.
